Interests: Research focuses on the mechanisms underlying type 1 diabetes (T1D) development and strategies for its prevention. Key interests include islet transplantation, beta cell differentiation, and the regulation of insulin-producing cells. The work integrates cellular, molecular, and translational approaches to improve understanding of T1D pathogenesis and develop therapeutic interventions.
Interests: My research interests include the development of novel approaches for the generation of three-dimensional (3D) neuronal cultures from human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs), modeling of central nervous system (CNS) neurotropic viral infections using two-dimensional (2D) and 3D neuronal cultures, generation of 2D and 3D hiPSC-based platforms for drug screening and the identification of novel antiviral drugs toward neurotropic viruses.
