Interests: Research focuses on neuroscience and the molecular genetics of somatic cells, with particular emphasis on mechanisms of hypermutability. Key interests include understanding how genetic variability impacts neural function, development, and disease processes. The work integrates molecular biology, genetics, and neuroscience to elucidate the cellular and molecular basis of brain function and pathology. Emphasis is placed on translating basic research into potential clinical and therapeutic applications.

To accomplish these ends, whole animals, human subjects, tissues and cell culture techniques are utilized.
